English Language Courses

Exam list

KET: Examination at the A2 level as established by the European Council. The Key English Test (KET) is an exam that assesses English knowledge and is first in the Cambridge exam sequence. KET offers a basic qualification and a level of linguistic competence that allows you to “survive” in temporary social situations with people who communicate in English.

PET: Examination at the B1 level as established by the European Council. Students who pass the Preliminary English Test (PET) have the linguistic tools needed to deal with regular interpersonal and work situations in an English language environment. The exam verifies that students have the language skills needed to communicate satisfactorily, albeit simply, in social and work situations in an English or international environment.

FCE: Examination at the B2 level as established by the European Council. The First Certificate in English (FCE) is an intermediate level exam that requires knowledge of all aspects of English and is recognized in the fields of commerce, industry, and education in both Britain and other countries. The FCE certifies sufficient language skills for practical use in managerial, clerical, and secretarial professions, and in daily contact with people who speak English. Passing candidates can understand and handle routine letters, telephone conversations, non-university level courses, simple textbooks, and articles.

CAE: The Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) corresponds to the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The CAE offers a level of linguistic competence that allows you to express yourself with fluency and naturalness, using the language flexibly and effectively for social, professional, and academic purposes. Passing candidates will also be able to produce well-constructed and detailed writings on complex topics, showing a steady control of the English textual structure. This is an important qualification for anyone who intends to work, study, or pursue a career that requires language skills.
