Public Selection for the admission of 120 students

1. Eligibility

The selection is open to all students who are about to enroll in, or those who are attending a university course for the academic year 2018/2019.

 

2. Available places/beds

The “Collegio” provides a maximum of 120 available places/beds

30 available places/bed for the male Hall of residence

20 available places/bed for the female Hall of residence

 

ROMA

20 available places/bed for male guests in the LUISS Guido Carli Hall of residence

 

VERONA

20 available places/bed for the male Hall of residence

30 available places/bed for the female Hall of residence

3. Facilities

Once a student has been accepted, there are residential facilities and training services available. The Residences in Padova and Roma are certified ISO 9001 (quality certification) and OHSAS 18001 (security system).

3.2 Individual training services

As in other international academic institutions, and given to its inter-disciplinary environment, the Collegio is aimed at developing students’ skills thanks to individual training projects and other activities for students.

4. Certificate of attendance / diploma

Each students admitted at Collegio Mazza for at least two years will be awarded with a “diploma” confirming all followed courses and certified skilled acquired.

An interview with an academic commission where the curriculum studiorum is examined

In Padova, each student will also have to discuss a current issue (among those previously selected by the Principal)

ROMA

Satisfaction of residential elegibility criteria according to the standard provided for by the University LUISS Guido Carli.

An interview with the Principal where the students present him/herself

During the selection process, candidates will have the opportunity to meet enrolled students and share information and experiences.

6. Required documents

In order to participate in the selection process, all students must provide to the Collegio:

Guarantee Declaration (only for international students)

To be attached:

Copy of a current and valid ID
Two pictures (ID format)
For those students who have just enrolled at the first university year, one copy of the high school diploma and transcripts of records must be provided.
For all university students, a transcript of records must be provided
All students must provide an economic statement/tax return/income. The economic statement might allow students to have economic benefits.

ROMA

For the interview with the Principal, all students need:

Each student might provide/attach other documents deemed necessary to a better assessment of his/her career and personal attitudes.

7. When and where to submit the application

All needed documents must be submitted to the Residenza del Collegio by regular mail-post or e-mail within the deadline (attaching all documents as a soft copy). Once received the application, the secretary will send a confirmation reply.

Extraordinary calls

The Principal, (according to availability in the Residences) might open extraordinary calls for application. During the selection process, candidates might stay overnight (sleep) in the Collegio.

 

9. Admission

At the end of the selection process, each Hall of residence will provide a final list/classification of candidates. For each candidate the evaluation process will consider:

1) School achievements, personal attitudes, motivation, and family economic needs.
2) The student’s availability to participate (actively) in the training programme for personal development of the Collegio.

The list of those who have been selected will be published at www.collegiomazza.it following this timetable:

Those candidates who have passed the selection, thus have been admitted in one of the Residences, will receive an individual official communication. The official communication will include all “conditions for staying” which must be signed by a parent or a legal representative.

10. Economic contribution

For each student, the monthly contribution will be different according to his/her economic condition.

For the Hall of residence in Padova from a mininum of € 330,00 up to 800,00 (maximum)
For the Hall of residence in Verona from a mininum of € 330,00 up to 750,00 (maximum)
For the Hall of residence in Roma from a mininum of € 330,00 up to 850,00 (maximum)

11. Economic benefits

According to the economic statement (see point 6) students might have economic benefits. Those students who do not submit theri economic statement will pay the maximum monthly contribution.

The Executive Board of the Collegio, according to its financial availability, might provide scholarship aimed at diminishing the monthly contribution for those students who have the best academic results and who are economically disadvantaged. The amount of the scholarship will be defined in the first months of the academic year.

12. International mobility: scholarships

The Collegio promotes international mobility. For this reason, the Collegio guarantees some scholarships for those students who are willing to study abroad (i.e for carrying out research project).

13. Annual enrollment

The admission is valid only for the academic year 2018-2019. To be confirmed in the subsequent years, each student will be evaluated considering his/her academic progress and his/her participation in the training programme (having regard to provision provided by the Ministry regulating  College Institutions).
